Seven Drunken Nights - The Story of the Dubliners - Princess Theatre

Seven Drunken Nights – The Story of the Dubliners – Princess Theatre

Performed by a phenomenal cast of Irish musicians, the show is packed full of classics like Whiskey in the Jar, The Irish Rover and Rocky Road to Dublin – guaranteed to get your toes tapping as they bring the joy of this much-loved Irish folk band back to the stage.

This ultimate feel-good production celebrates the musical mastery of The Dubliners, Ireland’s favourite sons, in association with the legendary O’Donoghue’s pub. With breathtaking performances and authentic Irish spirit, the show spans over 50 years, commemorating The Story of The Dubliners for a night of great music, and a celebration of the band that influenced many generations of Irish music. Don’t miss your chance to see the world class production that’s brought a decade of unforgettable nights to packed-out theatres.

Seven Drunken Nights is the ultimate Irish show that has audiences across the globe returning year after year.

This show is, in the end, firmly in tribute band territory, without featuring an actual ‘tribute band’, in the sense that there was no attempt by the cast to ‘be’ any of the members of The Dubliners. Whether any of them looked like, played like, or sounded like any of The Dubliners is therefore utterly irrelevant to the enjoyment of the production. As disclaimers to films and television shows put it, any resemblance is entirely coincidental, even if we are talking about Irishmen playing Irish music in a show about Irishmen playing Irish music.

Seven Drunken Nights: The Story of The Dubliners | Review
By Chris Omaweng / January 12, 2026
Some (well, all right, most) of the recorded voiceover narration was difficult to hear over the equally recorded music, which seemed odd. That is, however, a minor quibble. An excellent night out; the rapport with the audience was spot-on, and the committed performances were a delight to witness.

Age guidance: Under 16s to be accompanied by an adult (18+)
